Co-Produced two hours of the six-hour series hosted by Henry Louis Gates, Jr. which explores five centuries of historic events ending with Obama’s presidency over a nation deeply divided by race. Won Emmy, Peabody, NAACP Image, and Alfred I. duPont-Columbia awards.

During the Jim Crow era African Americans struggled to build their own worlds within the harsh confines of segregation. Leaders like Ida B. Wells, W.E.B. Du Bois, Booker T. Washington and Marcus Garvey offered vastly different strategies to further black empowerment and equality.
